The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
